We join private equity investors or management teams to support them in conducting due diligence.  We aim to complement the work done by strategy consultants and accounting firms by focusing on the operations of the target company.  

We aim to assess the deliverability of the vendor's business plan through a CEO's eyes by considering things like:

- Management capability and succession

- Sales disciplines and effectiveness

- Customer satisfaction and insights

- Use of management information to support decision-making

- Operating routines

- Risk identification and mitigation.

A common feature of many private equity investment theses is to accelerate the growth of a portfolio company through the establishment of a buy and build strategy.  For many leaders of portfolio companies, this can be the first time they have thought about acquiring other businesses and our aim at Roegate is to get them up that learning curve quickly in order to accelerate value creation and avoid common pitfalls.

The one certainty of any private equity investment is that there will be an exit at some point.  For many management teams, the burden of an exit process on top of leading a business can be daunting, especially if it's the first time they have been through such a process.  This can be particularly true if the exit involves an IPO.

In such situations, we can work alongside management and deal teams, focusing on areas such as:

- Translating how management view their business into language that investors will understand and be able to value

- Preparing for due diligence and interactions with investors and their advisers

- Helping deal with internal and external communications during an exit process.
